Workflow

The workflow closely resembles the operation of the Diroot Sheetlink Add-in:

1. Export parameter data (one or multiple parameters) to a CSV file (an empty CSV file must be created in advance).

2. Update the parameter values in the CSV file.

3. Import the updated CSV file back into Revit to refresh the parameter values.

Limitations

• This process supports the updating of text parameters only.

• It cannot update parameters for elements within groups.

This Notion database is a list of SaaS companies in the AEC industry. I created it while researching new software that might benefit my work. It currently lists 50 companies and is constantly growing.

Get It Now

In Notion:

• Create a database to store the data you would like to receive from Speckle. You can duplicate my database into your own database and customize it to fit your specific needs.

• Connect your database with Make.

  

In Speckle:

• Open the project that needs to send data whenever a comment is created.

• Create a webhook and copy webhook URL (red box).

In Make:

• Create a simple scenario that includes 2 modules, as shown below:

• In Webhooks module: add the webhook by pasting the Speckle webhook URL.

• In Notion module: connect the database and map the data.

#2 Connect Outlook and Teams to Notion Database.

Outlook and Teams are well-known Microsoft tools that are used by all firms that use Office365 to manage email and team chat.

For my workflows, I seamlessly connect Outlook and Teams with Notion through Asana and Zapier, leveraging the following capabilities:

• Automatically create a task (Notion database item) when a meeting is added to the Outlook Calendar.

  

• Convert an email or message to a task (Notion database item).

  

The setup process includes the followings steps:

1. Install the Asana Add-in/App in Outlook and Teams:

2. In Zapier, create two Zap as shown in the following image:

Once the setup finished, I can easily convert an email or message to a task (Notion database item):

When a new Asana task is created, a corresponding task (Notion database item) is automatically created within seconds and appears in the External view. From here, I can reorganize the task by assigning a due date, adding tags, and including notes, among other actions.

• Manage project data in Airtable

• Use dynamo to get the data from Airtable, transfer to Revit model or handle some tasks automatically.
